Danish all-girl-low-fi-garagepunk at its best – THE FELINES will sweep you off your feet with
their very first LP whose coolness can hardly be topped.
The ladies already made themselves a name with their previous two EPs (HEY GIRL!
RECORDS, SOUNDFLAT RECORDS), that introduced their wild and tough sound and made us
go crazy to their punky live-shows. The three charming girls have a common interest in
simple compositions and raw, authentic sound, where imperfections are considered a
treasured virtue. Their music is defined by their love for garage punk, as much as a rich vocal
part. When it comes to the vocals, the trio alternates with one another and sings together at
times, which adds both diversity and power to their sound.
„Want“ is an almost epic album with wild, rocking songs like „Al Pacino“, „Pretty Boy“ and
„Never To Go Back“, which combine punkrock and trashy garagerevival-sound, a funny piece
like „Jack And Coke“ in between, or the melancholic, mystical and beautifully sung ballad
“Pity For Your Eyes”. All of it with the neccessary amount of trashy coolness.
THE FELINES belong to a new generation of raw Girl-Garagepunk with a touch of sweetness,
that is simply captivating.
